tell you about new books. One that you
should check out if a toddler or preschooler ever asks you why they yawn is a
board book called Yawn by Sally Symes and illustrated by Nick Sharat (E
SYMES). It shows a little boy yawning on the first page and different animals
yawning on the following pages. It ends
with the boy realizing he needs to go to bed. This book is a simple way to help
a child understand that yawning means they are tired. As always with new books,
if it is not checked out, it will either be on the shelf (E SYMES) or on the
new books display.
