Early Literacy at the Library
Are you interested in helping your young child get ready to read? If you are, the library is the perfect place to get both books to read to your child and information on ways to prepare them to read in addition to simply reading them books. Here's how you can find out more about early literacy: check out the library's early literacy information online here, sign up in person (M-F 9-6) in the Children's Department for our free early literacy program for kids any age from birth to before they start kindergarten called 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, or stop by and pick up a brochure with early literacy tips at the Children's Department front desk. Also, when you're here, take a look at our new "Early Literacy Skills" posters by the puzzle table.
